2013 SPONSORED FELLOWSHIPS
In addition to around 75 core Fellowships awarded each year in any field of endeavour, the Trust also awards sponsored Fellowships which are funded by generous people or appropriate organisations who wish to have their name associated with the work of the Trust. These sponsored Fellowships are generally for a specific field of endeavour that a sponsor is passionate about or sees a need for.
Below is the list of Sponsored Fellowships on offer for the 2013 Churchill Fellowship round.
| ACT Government / Office for Women (ACT only) | ACT Government Audrey Fagan Churchill Fellowship for a woman to study gendered research, including but not limited to the areas of law enforcement, care and protection, or professional support services for women who are victims of violence. |
| Australian Biological Resources Study (ABRS) | Australian Biological Resources Study (ABRS) Churchill Fellowship to undertake overseas taxonomic research on Australian flora or fauna. Two Fellowships are available, one for an early career researcher and one for an established career researcher. |
| Australian Institute of Management | Australian Institute of Management Churchill Fellowship to investigate leadership and management. |
| AV Jennings | AV Jennings Churchill Fellowship to study in the field of domestic architecture, building and planning. |
| Blakeney Millar Foundation (Tumut - NSW only) | Blakeney Millar Foundation Churchill Fellowship for the study of a topic for the benefit of Tumut and its environs. |
| Bob and June Prickett - community gardens | Bob and June Prickett Churchill Fellowship for a project that examines or encourages the establishment of tropical food gardens in schools, homes or communities. |
| Dame Roma Mitchell | Dame Roma Mitchell Churchill Fellowship for the pursuit of excellence in the Performing Arts. |
| Donald Mackay | Donald Mackay Churchill Fellowship for the study of countering organised crime. |
| Dr Dorothea Sandars | Dr Dorothea Sandars Churchill Fellowship for the study of medical and veterinary parasitology or Parkinson's Disease or advances in medicine in general. |
| Dr Dorothea Sandars and Irene Lee - palliative care | Dr Dorothea Sandars and Irene Lee Churchill Fellowship for the study or update of skills for the enhancement of the delivery of palliative care. |

| NRMA-ACT Road Safety Trust (ACT / NSW only) | NRMA-ACT Road Safety Trust Churchill Fellowship for contributions to research and / or policies leading to a reduction in deaths and suffering caused by road crashes, from any perspective, including education, health, engineering, regulation and administration. |

The Churchill Fellowship I received has without doubt been a life changing experience for me, opening doors that otherwise would have remained closed.
