ABOUT OUR SPONSORS

Vincent Fairfax Family Foundation - retirees in employment

Mr Geoffrey White was the first Chief Executive Officer of the Vincent Fairfax Family Foundation (VFFF), a position which he fulfilled energetically and passionately for almost 20 years. He was instrumental in shaping the direction of the Foundation and during his time as the CEO, the VFFF blossomed into a major Australian family foundation. On his retirement in February 2010, the Directors of the VFFF decided to honour Geoffrey’s contribution to the Foundation by sponsoring a Churchill Fellowship over a period of four years. This Fellowship will focus on the paid and unpaid productive contributions of older Australians, particularly retirees. This subject is of special interest to Geoffrey.

Title of Fellowship

Vincent Fairfax Family Foundation Churchill Fellowship to engage and facilitate older Australians to participate in the workforce, the not-for-profit sector and for paid and / or unpaid work in the volunteering sector (in honour of Geoffrey White). Established in 2011.
