Monash University

Named after Sir John Monash, Monash University was established in Melbourne in 1958. The University was named after Sir John in recognition of the many important ways in which he contributed to the community. Monash University approached the Churchill Trust to sponsor Churchill Fellowships for those applicants with projects in the area of university management.
