Australian Biological Resources Study (ABRS)

The Trust was approached by the Australian Biological Resources Study (ABRS - a program within Parks Australia Division of the Department of the Environment, Water, Heritage and the Arts) to facilitate the award of projects in this research area. ABRS aims to provide the underlying taxonomic knowledge necessary for the conservation and sustainable use of Australia’s biodiversity. ABRS has been internationally recognised for its taxonomic information resources and support of taxonomic research.


Title of Fellowship

Australian Biological Resources Study (ABRS) Churchill Fellowship to undertake overseas taxonomic research on Australian flora or fauna. Two Fellowships are available, one for an early career researcher and one for an established career researcher. Established in 2009.
